With each new major product release (denoted by the first 3 digits of the product version number e.g. CCB V2.7.0), supported platforms are documented in the Quick Install Guide and Installation Guide for that product and version.   Note: Typically, support for platforms is dropped only with major product releases.

If a vendor or other Oracle product announces end of support for a component version used within the technical architecture of one or more Oracle Utilities products, support for that version is automatically dropped. In this case, support for a newer version would be added for that component (for example, a browser version).

Following major product releases, one or more service packs may be released (denoted by an update to the 4th digit e.g. CCB V2.7.0.1). Updates to supported platforms are often done in conjunction with service pack releases while the product is still on Premier Support.

Customers are allowed to install service pack releases or maintenance updates for other Oracle or 3rd party components (typically denoted by a 4th digit update but this may vary depending on the vendor) to keep current with maintenance updates for that product version.

Each new Oracle Utilities service pack release is tested with the latest service pack or maintenance updates for all 3rd party components to ensure products are current with what is generally available.

Customers may find that they need to install Oracle or 3rd party component maintenance updates prior to when Oracle Utilities is able to formally test and support them. If this situation arises, customers should create a service request (SR) with Oracle Global Customer Support so that Oracle Utilities can confirm when they will provide support for that maintenance update. Should a customer install maintenance updates of this type in their production environments, Oracle Utilities would support the customer should there be any issues that arise as long as there is a service request to confirm it will be supported.

Service pack releases for Oracle Utilities applications based on the Oracle Utilities Application Framework are supported on the version /service pack release of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework noted in the Quick Install Guide. Customers are NOT allowed to install an Oracle Utilities Application Framework version or service pack release that is not supported for that version of the product. For example, CCB V2.7.0.3 is only certified to work with FW V4.4.0.2.
