Direct Delivery Email Address of Shared Folder Is Shown Incorrectly as <uid>+<folder>@<domain>
(Doc ID 1915581.1)
Last updated on JULY 09, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 2.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In Convergence, the direct delivery address of a shared folder is displayed as <user ID>+<folder name>@<domain>,
while the email address of the user itself is NOT of the form <user ID>@<domain>.
The expected direct delivery email address of a (shared) folder should 'left-hand side'+'folder name'@'domain'.
If mail is sent to this displayed email address, the mail is not delivered.
To reproduce :
- Log in to Convergence as a user with email address different from <user ID>@<domain>.
- Select a folder.
- Click right on the folder, and choose the menu option of 'Share Folder'.
- New pop-up opens, where the direct delivery address to the folder is displayed as
<user ID>+<folder name>@<domain>
The same issue exists for all Convergence versions.
