Information on Changing the Hostname of a Configured BRM Server (Doc ID 1920347.1)

Last updated on APRIL 19, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 to 7.5.0.0.0 [Release 7.5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document provides a few information to consider if a Billing and Revenue Manager (BRM) System Administrator would like to change the hostname of an already configured BRM server.

This document is NOT a procedure. Changing a BRM server hostname after it is installed and configured is NOT a supported operation. The information here is provided solely as guidance to allow BRM System Administrators to chose the best strategy to consider and - in case changing the hostname seems the most appropriate - should prepare and test their own procedure with no backup from Oracle BRM Support.
