For a few users in a certain domain, mail seems to be routed to the gmail channel instead of tcp_local.
imsimta test -rewrite <recipient>; shows it should go to tcp_local - the output ends with:
So it makes sense that mail for a gmail recipient would be sent to the gmail channel, but this does not explain why mail for <user2>@<domain1> is rewritten to <user3>@gmail.com.
We also noticed that this is mainly (only?) happening for the one domain, <domain1>. And the recipient addresses being rewritten to gmail all start off as recipient addresses @<domain1>. And the MTA which is relaying these messages to the Messaging Server MTA where we see the log messages like above, is always the same IP address.
