Hints about how to evaluate the replication speed ? (Doc ID 1938209.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide hints to evaluate the time duration necessary to replicate data through the replication.

This article will differentiate the two possible scenarios :

  1. When a change is initiated from the Service Logic Controller (SLC), for example due to the execution of a control plan, it is pushed to SMS first, to be published to all SLC nodes as a second step.

Would such a modification be active between the moment the change is published from the SMS to the SLC; in other words, would that change be seen in that SLC during another control plan execution session ?

How can the delay be estimated ?

  2. When a change is initiated from the Service Management Server, for example through the Provisioning Interface (PI), it is published to all SLC nodes.

What is the estimated time between the modification request on the SMS and that modification seen on the SLC ?
