Mail Message Sent With HTML Format In Body Is Only Sent To One Recipient Correctly; All Other Recipients Receive It In Plain Text (Doc ID 1964412.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 6.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the user "user1@example.com" sends an email message, that contains a matrix in the body of the message, to some recipients, such as user2@example.com, user3@example.com and user4@example.com, the email is delivered to user2 with the correct format (HTML) but the rest of the users are receiving it in plain text format.

The route of this email is as follows:  user1 sends the email from outlook 2010 64bit, then to an Exchange server which then sends the mail to a gateway, then to a Symantec gateway and then ultimately to the Messaging Server.

Why is only one of the recipients receiving the body of the mail in HTML, while the others are receiving it in plain text?
