Symptoms

When attempting to login to P6, the following error occurs:

AVAA0-3822-8

  Or

Unable to Connect to the database.

When attempting to connect to the db using using the database configuration tool, the following error occurs:

Bad public username or password. Login timeout expired

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Attempt to login to the P6 Professional Client.
  2. The first or second error occurs.
  3. Attempt to configure the database connection.
  4. The connection fails and the third error occurs.
