Goal
The Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution Rules and Behaviors Work Management subsystem provides an incredible amount of flexibility and control to better manage complex business processes. However, one of the natural consequences is difficulty with determining what Rules and Behaviors events are being applied to a specific order while assigning a Provisioning Plan. This is important when a problem is encountered because it is possible that multiple events may have been invoked to be applied to the order with any one of them being the root cause of the error. The error message displays the violated business logic, but not the event which caused it. The problem is increasingly amplified by the number of events configured in the application.
This document provides a solution to determine which Rules and Behaviors events are being applied to a specific order. The results can may be useful while troubleshooting problems with assigning a Provisioning Plan to an order by narrowing the focus of which Rules and Behaviors to analyze.
