Compilation Errors During ORCompile Compilation of RMS Forms / Toolset Libraries (Doc ID 1987203.1)

Last updated on MAY 26, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 14.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to manually compile forms using the Oracle Retail Compile Patch (ORCompile) utility, a few of the Retail Merchandising System (RMS) base forms and toolset libraries failed to compile with the below errors:

...
cannot load library unit RMS14.LANGUAGE_SQL (referenced by RMS14.SCREEN_SQL)
PL/SQL ERROR 0 at line 11, column 4
Statement ignored
Failed to generate library.
FRM-30312: Failed to compile the library.
....

and

....
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
Compilation errors have occurred.
Form not created
.....

Steps for this case:

  1. To resolve a few form errors, user wanted to compile the RMS base forms. The only option available is to use the new ORCompile utility.
  2. So executed the script  $RETAIL_HOME/orpatch/bin/orcompile -a RMS -t FORMS.  But a few libraries and forms failed to compile with the above errors.
