Purpose

This document provides examples of log output in Oracle Communications Messaging Server when the various debugkeys options are enabled.  Customer that wish to monitor for specific events can use this as a reference for the type of data that's available with each setting.

Scope

This document is intended for administrators that need to gather detailed logging from Messaging Servers POP/IMAP/WEBMAIL/Proxy/MTA services.   The settings can be enabled using the legacy or unified configuration options.

Debug and debugkeys logging can be very verbose, log files can accumulate quickly once the settings are enabled.   Log file size settings, available disk space, and potential performance implications should all be considered before enabling debug logging.   Try to limit the use of debug logging to specific problems that require it, especially in large scale prodution environments.
