In UIM, Is there any way to constraint the Rack mounting position as following?

It is required that UIM in the equipment inventory control the position that a shelf was installed and the number of rack units it occupies.
It is a fundamental inventory function to manage the available positions on a rack. For example, there could have a shelf that occupy 2 mounting position in a rack and others can occupy 3 and 4.

2 main requests are desired:
1) Control the number of position available on a rack
2) Define the number of rack units that a shelf uses.
