FETCH returns envelope header with invalid data

imcheck -m user/<username>/<folder> -c 2

The last field is the message-id, which is miss spelled. should be    This only affected the message-id information that that was cached, the rest of the message was correct.   Looking at the message on disk showed the correct message-id header as well.
