Impact of cartridge .ear deletion

User have different cartridges where in which couple of cartridge versions have completed orders. They need to delete the number of unused cartridges as the server is taking long time to start and even it has impact on the performance.

Need to know the impact if they delete the .ear files from WLS console and DO NOT purge the data or cartridge from the database schema.?
