WebLogic 12c Managed Server Fails To Start When Passing The "-Djavax.xml.stream.XMLInputFactory=weblogic.xml.stax.XMLStreamInputFactory" Java Argument (Doc ID 2003152.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to start WebLogic 12c managed server for P6, the managed server fails with state "FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE" and the following errors are printed to managed server.log file:

ERROR

java.lang.AssertionError: Cannot export non clusterable object with jndiName:weblogic.jndi.internal.RootNamingNode@1def0b66:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to perform operation: post construct on weblogic.jndi.internal.RemoteNamingService
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: While attempting to resolve the dependencies of weblogic.connector.common.ConnectorServiceActivator errors were found
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to perform operation: resolve on weblogic.connector.common.ConnectorServiceActivator


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure the JVM parameter '-Djavax.xml.stream.XMLInputFactory=weblogic.xml.stax.XMLStreamInputFactory' to the Server Start Arguments from the Weblogic console 12c.
  2. Restart the WebLogic managed server with failure.
