Batch Rating Pipeline Kept Hanging Following "overflow in multiplication" Error

On BRM 7.5PS6, Pipeline Manager
In pre-production environment, the batch rating Pipeline kept hanging following a critical error "overflow in multiplication" in the process logs. It seemed that when this error occurred, the Pipeline manager failed to stop the Pipelines and hung. The user had to kill and restart the Pipeline manager process.
This issue kept reoccurring and the Pipeline kept hanging with the same error after being restarted.
