Events Are Not Fetched In The Ascending/Descending Order Of Their Dates In fetchcomponents_by_range.wcap (Doc ID 2014929.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Calendar Server - Version 7.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In Calendar 6.3 you could run fetchcomponents_by_range.wcap with fetchorder=0, 1 or 2 to be sure your data was returned in the order specified. This option is not available in the Calendar 7 fetchcomponents_by_range.wcap command.

The reason we are looking for it is due to the following test:

Login to Convergence and create two events:
1) First on 23-Feb-2016 10:00 am
2) Second on 23-Feb-2016 03:30pm.

Run fetchcomponents_by_range.wcap and the data is returned with the event "first" listed before the event "second"

new events

A possible way around this would be to run the fetchcomponents_by_range.wcap with the fetchorder parameter so that the data can be returned as per the value set to either return in ascending or descending order, but it does not seem to be available in Calendar Server 7.
