imsrestore Cannot Restore from Backup "Cannot creat BKDEV" (Doc ID 2022286.1)

Symptoms

Restoring from backup, stored on an NFS share, the imsrestore command is failing:


# /opt/sun/comms/messaging64/bin/imsrestore -b 32 -n -f "/nfs/share/backups/mailstore/folders/<user>/INBOX" "/mailhost/ALL/<user>/INBOX"

[03/Jun/2015:10:42:44 +0200] host /opt/sun/comms/messaging64/bin/imsrestore[19276]: Store Error: Restore cancelled: could not read full block
Cannot creat BKDEV

This results in the fact that you cannot restore mailboxes.
