While tracking down why there are so many .HELD messages, we noticed that the imsimta qm dir -held command takes an unreasonably long time, even when there are relatively few messages in the queue.

Using strace on a qm command progress:

In one window, do imsimta qm dir -held. In another window, do ps -ef|grep to find which process to strace:

But there is so much output that the fact that the first part was a ".snapshot" directory was easily overlooked.
