Error 'Summarize EPS failed java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException' or 'Error Calculating Finish Date' When Running the 'Publish Enterprise Summaries' Job (Doc ID 2029452.1)

Symptoms

When running the Publish Enterprise Summaries Global Scheduled Service, Step 5 fails with the following error generated in the job log file, causing the entire service to also result in a Failed status:

SEVERE: TIMESTAMP:TASK:PxServiceEpsSummaryTask: [5] CORE(SQL): Summarize EPS failed
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

TIMESTAMP:TASK:PxServiceEpsSummaryTask: [5] CORE(SQL): Summarize EPS...

The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:

  1. Login to P6.
  2. Select Administer > Global Scheduled Services.
  3. Execute the Publish Enterprise Summaries global scheduled service.
  4. When the service fails, review the associated log file (ex: <P6 EPPM home or P6 Services home>\p6\WebAccessLogs\services\jt_enterprisesum\<date-time stamp>_FAILED.log) and note the reported error at step 5.
