Voucher Type To Override Expiry Date Only Does Not Work (Doc ID 2045834.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.2 to 5.0.3 [Release 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC) version 5.0.2, there is currently no way to instantly expire/deactivate a Bucket/Balance Type using a Voucher Type to set the expiry date to an hour in the future.

For example, when using the following Voucher Type Recharge Multi-Balance expiry settings, the expiry date is not being overwritten.

Voucher Type Recharge Multi-Balance expiry with Parameters "expiry_date = 1 hour, expiry_policy = from today, new_bucket = N, replace_balance = N"
  • Here the minimum expiry time we can set is 1 hour, as 0 signifies "no expiry".
  • Also If we use the " replace_balance = Y ", then this will inevitably trigger a threshold notification. So the replace_balance need to be set as N.

It is expected that a Voucher Type configured in this manner should reset the expiry date of the buckets for the given balance type(s) to an hour in the future.
