Symptoms
ISSUE
ASCP Collected On Hand Qty different than the one from the Source .
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
The on hand quantities in both tables ( base and SN ) do not match. As per the investigation , the root cause is in the database functionality not working, the SN should be updated with the changes found in the MLOG.
-the TRANSACTION_QUANTITY value (snapshot MTL_OH_QTYS_SN ) does not match the PRIMARY_TRANSACTION_QUANTITY value (base table MTL_ONHAND_QUANTITIES_DETAIL)
WORKAROUND
In order to have the up-to-date data of the on-hand in the SN :
- Run a 'COMPLETE' RCS on MTL_OH_QTYS_SN , thus getting the data straight from the base table and truncating the mlog to have a count of 0.
- Run 'COMPLETE' Collections
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
On hand qty to be updated correctly in the MTL_OH_QTYS_SN
STEPS
- FAST 'Refresh Collection Snapshots' on the snapshot 'MTL_OH_QTYS_SN' , this SN is not updated with the changes ( NOTE : issue occurs only when removing qty , when adding it worked fine ) from the base table 'MTL_ONHAND_QUANTITIES_DETAIL'.
- this changes are being tracked OK in the MLOG$_MTL_ONHAND_QUANTITIE and the SN should get updated based on this.
BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot use the correct value of the on-hand in planning , thus leading to new PLO generated.
