Unable to Define a Destination Range for the calledPartyNumberBCD in slpit (Doc ID 2088293.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 24, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC), the test tool slpit can be used to simulate Signaling System 7 (SS7) traffic on the Service Logic Controllers (SLCs).

Each call scenario which users want to test must be written based on a specification understood by the slpit tool.  More information on slpit can be found in the Test Tools guide.

When trying to simulate a range of numbers (callingPartyNumber) calling another range of numbers (calledPartyNumberBCD, the script fails to be parsed with the error:

basicCall_BParty_Range.slp, line 15: parse error
basicCall_BParty_Range.slp, line 15: error: syntax error
basicCall_BParty_Range.slp, line 15: expected:
[(Type)] "number" [numberPlan <n>]
