Symptoms

When trying to perform a silent install of Oracle Commerce Guided Search components, the components are installing into the $HOME/endeca/ or some other directory instead of the directory specified by the INSTALLDIR variable in the silent install properties file.
This can happen when following silent install directions in the Oracle Component Installation Documentation.
