File Manager Uploading File Failed While Using Alias Name Or IP Instead Of Actual Domain Name. Error "'http://<agileservername>:<port>' that is not equal to the Supplied Origin" (Doc ID 2117012.1)

Symptoms

Users are not able to upload file attachments when logging into Web client using an Alias name or IP address instead of the actual domain which is specified in Java client > Admin tab > Server Settings > Locations > General Information tab

ERROR
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at http://server_name:8080/Filemgr/LFUploadServlet.

FACTs
Able to add file attachments using Java client


STEPS
1. Log into web client using IP address or Alias name
2. Select object > Attachments tab
3. Add file attachment

Example:
Web client URL specified in Java client is: http://xxx9340xx.xx.xxxx.com:7001/Agile/PLMServlet

http://xxx9340xx-1.xx.xxx.com:7001/Agile/PLMServlet
access to Agile with above URL file can be uploaded to attachment


access to the same server, but with IP address like below
http://12.34.140.xx:7001/Agile/PLMServlet
file cannot be uploaded
