Messaging Server and Tuning NFS for Linux
(Doc ID 2123180.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
We have NFS latency issues. The Messaging Server default log shows "stored is stressed" when this happens and stops delivering email.
We use the Linux nfsiostat utility to measure that NFS latency.
In the output, we can see that the write avg exe becomes large. This means that NFS RPC stays a long time in the kernel RPC queues.
Do you have any Linux RPC tuning recommendations for Messaging Server store to decrease the avg exe and avoid the "stored is stress" errors?
Note: we are not using Oracle Linux.
