Discount Filter is not Allowing the Generic Selector Result Names (Doc ID 2158760.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Pricing Design Center - Version 11.1.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On :  11.1.0.7.0 version, User Interface

The user is trying to create a discount filter applicable only for results which comes out from the generic selector. There is an option available in the filter to which one can associate the result names from a generic selector. Unless the "Impact Category" can have an option to be searched and selected, there is no search option and it looks like a free text field.

ERROR
-----------------------
It throws an exception stating the particular generic selector result is not valid: "Field genericSelectorResult has an invalid value"

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Create Impact category/generic selector combination in the usage rateplan.
2. Create a rateplan XML, for example:

Rateplan
{
ZONE 'USA'         -> Price
ZONE 'INDIA'       -> Price
ZONE 'CANADA'      -> Price
.
.
.
.
ZONE 'DOMESTIC' -> GENERIC SELECTOR
     {
       Generic Selector result 1  '<Generic Selector Name 1>' -> Price
       Generic Selector result 2  '<Generic Selector Name 2>'   -> Price
     }
}

3. Create a discount on generic selector results (i.e. <Generic Selector Name 1>,<Generic Selector Name 2> as above example).
4. Put 'DOMESTIC' in impact category field and '<Generic Selector Name 1>|<Generic Selector Name 2>' in the genericSelectorResult field which throws an error as mentioned.

Note: <Generic Selector Name 1> and <Generic Selector Name 2> should be replaced with the actual generic selector names.
