D1-SMMTR Batch Execution Time Not Flexible - Needs To Be Executed Always On The Hour (Doc ID 2189862.1)

Last updated on MAY 31, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management - Version 2.1.0.3 to 2.1.0.3 [Release 2.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management 2.1.0.3 version when Periodic Estimation is executed has a large impact on the results achieved since the process uses a rolling concept. This means that the executions can vary in results even when the execution time is slightly different.

This makes it difficult for utilities to control the estimation process since it is typically queued in the batch scheduler after several variable length batches.

The fix will provide a feature to configure whether estimation will be rolled over per execution (depends on execution time) or till a predicted cut-off time.
