On occasion the CAS crawl database and/or the CAS Record Stores may need to be removed and re-created freshly for various reasons. Several KB articles exist that explain how to clear a given portion of the CAS state, like the following:

Each of the KB articles cited above may be used individually to clear a specific portion of CAS state for a given, specific scenario, however the goal of this article is to to summarize the steps within one guide to fully clear the entire CAS state when deemed appropriate.
