Last updated on JUNE 11, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Due to some business needs it might be the case when a certain ACL must be removed for owner itself of a mailbox.

mboxutil -l -P  "user/alinbratosin@example.com/test1" -x
msgs  Kbytes last msg         partition   quotaroot mailbox path and acl

    3       6 2016/12/09 09:54 partbunibi08          - user/alinbratosin@example.com/test1 /msg-b/part-b-unibi-08-idx/idx/=user/f7/20/=alinbratosin@exampleÜom/=test1 alinbratosin@example.com  lrkxac  bstroe@example.com      lr

readership -s "user/alinbratosin@example.com/test1"  alinbratosin@example.com "lr"
user/alinbratosin@example.com/test1: OK

mboxutil -l -P  "user/alinbratosin@example.com/test1" -x
msgs  Kbytes last msg         partition   quotaroot mailbox path and acl

    3       6 2016/12/09 09:54 partbunibi08          - user/alinbratosin@example.com/test1 /msg-b/part-b-unibi-08-idx/idx/=user/f7/20/=alinbratosin@exampleÜom/=test1 alinbratosin@example.com       lrkxac  bstroe@example.com       lr

So it looks like that either l(ookup)+r(ead) imply a good dose of rights exceeding the naive interpretation or there is a 'preserved' set of owner rights which cannot be revoked using the readership options used above.
