Future Dated Charging Using PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_SET_PRODINFO (Doc ID 2238836.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

One user is trying to find out the possibility for future dated charging using PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_SET_PRODINFO.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a customer account with any basic service with Billing Day of Month (BDOM) as 1 and bill_when as 1.
2. On Dec 04, add a monthly product to the customer (fixed duration packs not aligned to billing dates) with validity from Dec 04 to Jan 04.
The customer account is allowed to do renewal on this fixed duration product 25 days before expiration date.
3. On Dec 30, customer account renewed to the next cycle which will be valid from Jan 04 to Feb 04 by using PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_SET_PRODINFO opcode for the same.

Result:
In this case, the charge for the period of Jan 04 to Feb 04 is not getting generated as on December 30.

Is it possible to create the charge in the system on the same day of renewal?
