Coding Issue Argus-J While Copying A Product: Product_name_J And Prod_coded_j Retain Old Value after recode (Doc ID 2246634.1)

Last updated on JULY 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety Japan - Version 7.0.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a Japanese Marketed Drug is selected from Company Drug Dictionary, after coding Product_Name_J and Prod_Coded_J are populated as expected with required Japanese values.

However, if user copies the product and then encodes it to WhoDrug, rather than selecting from Company Drug Dictionary, then old values for Product_Name_J and Prod_Coded_J are retained

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Book in a case using Book-in screen for a Product e.g "Drug 13". Coded the Prevenar 13 against Company Drug Dictionary.
2. "Drug 13" has as an example below licenses :

  JPN: MktDrug
  JPN: MktDev
  And a Non-Japan Vac license.

3. Navigate to product tab. Select "Drug 13" . Right click on Blue Product Information Bar. Copy the product.
4. Navigate to new copied product, and opt to [Encode] the product to a Non-Company Drug Dictionary e.g. ( WHO ) ROTAVIRUS VACCINE.

Note: Despite recode, Product_name_J still retains the old value.

Appears to only reproduce with JPN: MktDrug,JPN: MktDev, and a Non-Japan vaccine license combination.

For Other products encoding to a Non-CDD ( WHO ) ROTAVIRUS VACCINE is working as expected. in that case, product_name_j is getting expected value ( i,e . ROTAVIRUS VACCINE ).
