Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Personal Address Book (PAB) contacts migrated from external source remain un-editable on Convergence. The contacts can be viewed but edits can not be Saved or Canceled.  Also the tab that displays the contacts for edit fail to close.

Here are a few test cases and results obtained from different Convergence versions:

Convergence 3.0.0.1.0:

(a) Login to Convergence and switch to 'Address Book' screen, with the 'Personal Address Book' selected. Notice blank screen initially, until switch to other group in the tree and click back on the 'Personal Address Book'.

(b) With the imported contact selected, upon clicking the 'Edit' button, nothing happens. However, if clicked on 'New Contact' first; Cancel it and make another attempt to Edit the imported Contact, the editable contact screen is shown on the 'New Contact' tab.

(c) However, if further attempts are made to edit the same Contact, editable text is shown on a tab labelled with 'Display Name' of the contact that is attempted for edit. It doesn't appear as 'New Contact' tab any more.

Convergence 3.0.1.0:

(a) When switch to 'Address Book' screen, the contacts list appear under 'Personal Address Book'. No blank screen is shown as in case of Convergence 3.0.0.1

(b) With the imported contact selected, upon clicking the 'Edit' button, nothing happens. However, if I clicked on 'New Contact' first; Cancel it and make another attempt to Edit the imported Contact,  the editable contact screen is shown on a tab labelled with the 'Display Name' of the contact.

Convergence 3.0.1.3.0:

(a) When switch to 'Address Book' screen, the contacts list appear under 'Personal Address Book'. No blank screen is shown as in case of Convergence 3.0.0.1

(b) With the imported contact selected, upon clicking the 'Edit' button, nothing happens. Even when clicked on 'New Contact¿ first; Cancel it and make another attempt to Edit the imported Contact,  the edit button still fail to work.
