Averify Fails with Error "Oracle Home not found" (Doc ID 2286118.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run AVerify, the following error occurs.

\Averify\config\check.xml:6: Oracle Home not found! -> {path}


Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure %Averify_Home%\config\averify.properties file with:
    averify.dest.jdbc.url = jdbc:oracle:thin:@{hostname}:1521:agile9
    averify.dest.jdbc.driver = oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    averify.dest.tns.name = agile
    averify.dest.oracle.home = {Oracle Database Home path}
  2. Launch command line, and run averify.bat/averify.sh from %Averify_Home%\bin
  3. Find it fails with error in the console and also Averify.log under %Averify_Home%\logs
