Error: "Error: Keystore in keystore folder does not contain the original key that was used for encrypting the database credentials..." When Attempting to Configure P6 Using the EPPM Configuration Wizard or Database Setup Wizard (Doc ID 2293638.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to configure P6 using the EPPM Configuration Wizard the following error occurs:

ERROR
----------------------
Error: Keystore in keystore folder does not contain the original key that was used for encrypting the database credentials.
Please ensure you provide a folder which contains a valid p6keystore.jks and its associated p6kspass.pwffile.
If a p6keystore.jks file was not used, leave the Keystore Folder field blank.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch P6 EPPM Configuration Wizard (eppmconfig.cmd)
  2. In the Database Configuration section select either "Create a new P6 EPPM database" or "Connect to an existing P6 EPPM database", Next
  3. Enter in database connection details
  4. Observe Error

When attempting to run the Database Setup Wizard the following error occurs:

Error: Keystore in keystore folder does not contain the original key that was used for encrypting the database credentials.
Please ensure you provide a folder which contains a valid p6keystore.jks and its associated p6kspass.pwffile.
If a p6keystore.jks file was not used, leave the Keystore Folder field blank.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch Database Setup Wizard (dbsetup.bat)
  2. Select either 'Install a new database' or 'Upgrade an existing database', Next
  3. Enter in database connection details, Next
  4. Observe Error
