Symptoms
When attempting to configure P6 using the EPPM Configuration Wizard or Database Configuration Wizard, the following error occurs:
Error: Keystore in keystore folder does not contain the original key that was used for encrypting the database credentials.
Please ensure you provide a folder which contains a valid p6keystore.jks and its associated p6kspass.pwffile.
If a p6keystore.jks file was not used, leave the Keystore Folder field blank.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Launch the P6 EPPM Configuration Wizard (<P6 EPPM home>\eppmconfig.cmd).
- In the Database Configuration section select either Create a new P6 EPPM database or Connect to an existing P6 EPPM database then click Next.
- Enter the database connection details then click Next.
- Observe the reported error.
- Launch the Database Setup Wizard (<P6 EPPM installation media>\database\dbsetup.bat).
- Select either Install a new database or Upgrade an existing database then click Next.
- Enter the database connection details then click Next.
- Observe the reported error.
