OFSAA 8.0.2 Login Screen Goes Blank forLDAP User (No Validation Message)

Symptoms

OFSAA 8.0.2, the OFSAA login screen goes blank for LDAP user after attempted login. 

It appears this is a case where there is not any system message on the OFSAA Login screen.  It is expected to see a system generated message, such as "Please contact System Administrator" or something similar like this.  Error messages like this have appeared in other cases of validation.

There is also a Java Null pointer Exception in RevAppServer logs in the $FIC_APP_HOME/common/FICServer/logs directory:
