Symptoms

Getting following error when updating Telephone Number Charateristics
  oracle.communications.inventory.api.exception.ValidationException: null
  at oracle.communications.inventory.api.characteristic.impl.CharacteristicManagerImpl.validateTextField(CharacteristicManagerImpl.java:1086)
  at oracle.communications.inventory.api.characteristic.impl.CharacteristicManagerImpl.validate(CharacteristicManagerImpl.java:1412)
  at oracle.communications.inventory.api.characteristic.impl.CharacteristicManagerImpl.validate(CharacteristicManagerImpl.java:1509)
  at oracle.communications.inventory.api.common.BaseInvManager.validate(BaseInvManager.java:716)
  at oracle.communications.inventory.api.common.BaseInvManager.updateEntity(BaseInvManager.java:673)
  at oracle.communications.inventory.api.number.impl.TelephoneNumberManagerImpl.updateTN(TelephoneNumberManagerImpl.java:2598)
