All Style Tags Are Removed By Htmlsanitizer (Doc ID 2344646.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.2 and later
Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 3.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using: Convergence 3.0.1.4.0
          Messaging Server 8.0.2.1.20171102 64bit (built Nov 2 2017)

All style tags are removed by htmlsanitizer.

Looking for some additional information on the rules governing the htmlsanitizer.  Currently have this set in Convergence:

$ iwcadmin -o mail.htmlsanitizer.enable
Enter the Administrator Password:
mail.htmlsanitizer.enable = true

And this set in Messaging Server:

$ msconfig show role.http.convergencefilterenabled
role.http.convergencefilterenabled = 1

Refer to here on the convergencefilterenabled option.

In a sample email, it's removing all style tag information, so the intended color graphics are not shown.  Would like to know if this is by design or if it's due to a bug?

Changes

In Messaging Server 8.0.2.0.0 or newer, the out-of-the-box email sanitization was made configurable.
