Last updated on JUNE 18, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.18.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On :  7.5.0.18.0 version, Webservices Mgr & JCA Adaptor

Scenario:
Installing PS18 from MSP1 (PS13) ,  As the release notes of PS18 say the following about Web Services manager  :-

"Web Services Manager Now Uses the JAX-WS Framework to Support SOAP Web Services as an XML Element Payload (Patch Set 14).In the previous releases, Web Services Manager used the Apache Axis framework to support SOAP web services as an XML string payload and an XML element payload. With this patch, Web Services Manager no longer uses Apache Axis framework for SOAP web services as an XML element payload. Web Services Manager now uses the JAX-WS framework to support SOAP web services as an XML element payload. To continue to use SOAP web services as an XML element payload, regenerate the web services clients with JAX-WS-based service URLs."

Question: Need to know if one had custom Webservices which are using Axis framework ,  What all need to be done to move to JAX-WS framework  if already moved the Java code to JAX-WS? The services are getting deployed on the weblogic server and WSDL accessible but facing issue while working with the same with Soap request as getting java error : Java.nullpointer.exception
