Can a Timesheet's Interval Be Changed from "By Reporting Period" to "Daily", or Vice Versa, after it has been set to Active?

Is there a way to reset a timesheet's interval, for example from "By reporting period" to "Daily", after it has been created and set to Active?
Can a timesheet be reset to "Not Started" in order to accomplish this?
