Error 'ORA-00942 table or view does not exist' When Attempting to Upgrade a P6 EPPM Database from a Previously Failed Upgrade Using the Database Setup Wizard (dbsetup) (Doc ID 2372425.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to upgrade an 8.3.x P6 EPPM schema to 16.2 or later for which a previous upgrade attempt had failed and performed a rollback of the schema, the following error occurs with the subsequent upgrade attempts when attempting to perform any action against a PRMAUDIT object:

ORA-00942 table or view does not exist

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Starting from a r8.3 P6 EPPM schema, attempt an upgrade that fails and performs an automatic schema rollback.
2. Attempt upgrade a second time.
3. Note the reported error.
