Using Oracle snmpJavaCapture to collect MIB walks for SNMPV2 and SNMPV3
(Doc ID 2376203.1)
Last updated on MAY 23, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 7.4.0.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
When a new routing device or problem with the a device OS is encountered Oracle support may need to request a MIB walk of the device. A tool called "snmpJavaCapture" is used to gather this information for both SNMPV2 and SNMPV3.
A simple native snmpwalk of the device will not produce the same format that IPSA requires. All captures of the device MIBs must be done with the Oracle snmpJavaCapture tool.
This note provides the tool and instructions on how to use it.
