PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Application is not properly handing Font and labels in columns and fields of some screens.

Users are complaining that for MetaSolv Solution Software (MSS) installed in local workstations font is not quite fitting.

"The font is different in the local one and it doesn’t quite fit but if I hold the control button and roll it down then it will reside from 100% but the next one smaller is almost too small".

Users using a local workstation with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11 with 1920 x 1080 monitors.

The problem affecting MSS 621 and 630 users, but does not affect those using Citrix infrastructure.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

MSS windows should be rendered similarly in all workstations.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Using a local workstation with Win 7 IE 11 running MSS 630.b555

2. Access MSS modules like the following:

  - Service Request Search - ALL / ASR / PSR: Results table, Order Detail tab, Circuit tab
  - Customer Account Search
  - Number Inventory
  - Work Queue Mgmt

  - use <Ctrl-{Mouse Wheel}> to zoom in/out. In many windows and tabs, MSS is not properly handling column widths, line height, space to display labels

BUSINESS IMPACT

It is really annoying to have a bad rendered window.
