Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In the WebLogic logs see the following warning:

<Warning> <EJB> <ut05969.ntrs.com> <ormb2601-dmo_admin> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '8' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <> <> <cceb1c40-353d-433b-882a-61e8bfee9681-00000049> <1530563810624> <[severity-value: 16] [rid: 0] [partition-id: 0] [partition-name: DOMAIN] > <BEA-010202> <Call-by-reference is not enabled for EJB TUGBULiteServiceBean. The server will have better performance if it is enabled. To enable call-by-reference, set the enable-call-by-reference element to True in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptor or corresponding annotation for this EJB.>

The warning shows up when the server starts / the application is deployed.

There is no reference to this setting (enable-call-by-reference) anywhere in the Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) documentation.
This article confirms if it is safe to enable this setting to remove this warning message and also if it will improve performance in ORMB.
