Configuring Admin Console SSL Cipher Suite (Doc ID 2447751.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Converged Application Server - Service Controller - Version 6.1.0 to 6.1.0 [Release 6.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When running SSL (HTTPS) on the admin console user was unable to access the console webpage from any web browser. The browser would report ‘SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP’. User was unable to configure the cipher suites used here.

The problem was that the certificates used DSA(Digital subtraction angiography) (default in keytool) and not RSA (Rivest–Shamir–Adleman). The only cipher suites that are common between firefox and Java use RSA. That’s why a common one could not be found.
