Under Construction Equipment Status Changes to Installed After Equipment Assignment on an In Service Circuit (Doc ID 2475701.1)

Symptoms

The MetaSolv Solution application allows "In Service" circuits to be assigned to an available port under equipment being managed as part of an Engineering Work Order and still "Under Construction" Additionally, after the circuit has been assigned, the equipment's status changes/progresses to "Installed". Users have requested the application prevent "In Service" circuits from being assigned to available ports under equipment still "Under Construction" the equipment's status not change to "Installed".


Recreation Steps

1. Create or open a new Engineering Work Order where equipment is being newly installed (Under Construction) at a location.

2. Assign an "In Service" circuit to an available port under the "Under Construction" equipment at that location.

3. Refresh the Equipment Inventory for Connection Design view and note the equipment's status no longer shows "Under Construction".

4. Open the Equipment window from the Equipment Inventory for Connection Design view and note its status shows "Installed".
