Symptoms


When a batch thread ends, it locks the batch control table to update the status. A job running with a large amount of threads will experience row lock contention because all threads will do the locking to update the status.


Steps -
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create device set up.
2. Create IMD for MC.
3. Execute D1-IMD batch involving large number of threads.
