Card Security Presence Support for Paymentech Data Manager (Doc ID 2498062.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.21.0 to 12.0.0.0.0 [Release 7.5.0 to 12.0.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the Card Security Value (e.g. VISA CVV2, AmEx CID, etc.) is not present, Paymentech Data Manager (dm_fusa) never sends the Fraud Format Indicator (FR) record for card validation or authorization. When that value is present, dm_fusa always sends a Card Security Presence flag of "1" for all card types except AmEx, for which it sends " " (blank).

A business requirement is to be able to send other Card Security Presence values with or without the presence of the Card Security Value, specifically to send "2" when the Card Security Value cannot be obtained. In order to do this, dm_fusa needs to support an input field to provide the Card Security Presence flag and the PYMT FMs need to support this field as well including specifying the value per transaction (online only is required - not batch).
