Unable To Select a Multi-data Source to be Used By a Persistent Store (Doc ID 2510716.1)

Question # 1 : We are using ASAP 7.3.0.3  application with Active-Active RAC DB. I have a query related to multi data source creation.
Like in Unified Inventory Management, Can we skip multi data source creation by using the SCAN Address in the existing data sources? Or is it mandatory to create multi data sources as mentioned in https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E61076_01/doc.73/e61077/ins_asap_upgrading.htm#ASPIG325

Question # 2: ASAP Installation Guide under the topic "To create new generic and multi data sources to an Oracle RAC database" , the Step 48:
Only the Generic data sources are available for selection for the persistent store. I don't see the multi data sources in the drop down to select. Are there any others steps not documented?
