RNI SGG ADAPTER CREATES DUPLICATE IMD FOR SCALAR CHANNEL (Doc ID 2518685.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 27, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management - Version 2.2.0.1.0 to 2.2.0.1.0 [Release 2.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the RNI daily read file, scalar reads are sent with start read and stop read. SGG adapter creates separate IMDs for start read and stop read. The start read IMD is technically a duplicate of the previous day's stop read IMD, and thus gets discarded. This causes a lot of discarded IMDs on a daily basis.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) In Weblogic pause consumption of Destination Queue used to process IMD’s
2)Drop a RNI file with Scalar a reads.
3)Two IMD’s are created
