Feature to Assign EWO Activity to the Users not Member of uim-users Group (Doc ID 2526705.1)

Last updated on APRIL 27, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management - Version 7.4.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We need to implement EWO for Network Planning and Design . In this case if we have External LDAP/AD integration will it be able to assign activity to a External LDAP user?

The values in the Assign Activity drop-down, are populated if the users are added to the uim-users group. This is a proven methodology and it works. However, as per the custom requirements of the customer there are different groups with different names
say for example - "ActivityGroup"(just for sample)

In the current context, only the users which are associated to the uim-users are populated in the Assign Activity drop-down. So, we need the users who are added to the above mentioned groups to be displayed in the Assign Activity Drop-down.

if we add the users of all the custom groups of LDAP into the uim-users then there will be no classification by group, which is the basic requirement for which customer will create a custom group and associate specific users to the specific group. Hence we cannot go with an approach of of adding all users to uim-users and selectively add the users to specific groups, which will violate the basic principle of the user classification by group as per customer LDAP groups/users.

The users added to the custom group does not get displayed in the drop down,it becomes a case for an enhancement.

so requirement is to show the users in the AssignActivity Drop down in Activity list who are not part of uim-users group.
